“Well, this is the second playthrough from the "We Are Right" album and it was a lot of fun to shoot it!
Basically, I alternate rock-style drumming on the verses (the idea of inserting a cow bell sampled in the recording studio was very nice!) with double-bass drum machine guns on the chorus.
Once again, a H-U-G-E “thank you!” Antonio Aronne for the mixing, Enrico Luzzi for the shooting and the video editing and StudioCompresso for the beautiful location!

“With great pleasure I publish the first of a long series of drum playtroughs on some of the tracks for which I have been more committed and enjoyed playing.

The first playthrough uploaded is the album's opener and certainly one of the most aggressive songs and above all with many rhythmic variations (there is also some small blast beat here and there!); however, trying to stay in line with the desire to play in the service of the song and the other instruments, I decided to keep a simple 4/4 time in the last section of the song, to give the right emphasis to the vocal choirs and guitars.

I want to thank Antonio Aronne for the mixing (also of the album), Enrico Luzzi for the shooting and the video editing and StudioCompresso for the beautiful location!

It's inspired by the true story of Onoda Hiroo, an Imperial Japanese Army intelligence officer who fought in the Philippines during World War II.

On December 26, 1944 he was sent to the island of Lubang, with the task, together with the soldiers already there, to stop the enemy advance and not to give up, at the cost of his own life.

He did not surrender at the war's end in August 1945. After the war ended Onoda spent 29 years hiding out in the Philippines. He held the rank of second lieutenant in the Imperial Japanese Army. He was the penultimate Japanese ghost soldier to surrender. Directed by Kinorama Studio
